Summer Seminars on Theologies of Religious Pluralism and Comparative Theology

Application Process

All applications must include the following materials:

  • A short essay (of no more than 1000 words) on how the Summer Seminars would support and extend ongoing and anticipated teaching and scholarship, how you have arrived at the need for work in the area of theologies of religious pluralism (TRP),  how you might influence your institution, why you want to participate/what you hope to learn, and a discussion of how you might incorporate TRP and comparative theology into a course, circumstances allowing, in the academic year following the first summer seminar.
  • List of relevant references.
  • CV with full contact information.
  • No special application form is required.

To be assured of consideration for Cohort One, applications must be received by January 15, 2009. The application deadline for Cohort Two will be in the fall of 2009. Further information regarding Cohort Two will become available in the spring of 2009.

Application materials must be submitted as electronic copies (no hardcopies will be accepted) to: summerseminars@aarweb.org.

Those selected for Cohort One will be notified by mid-February 2009.
